It ALL depends on several things. It depends on the type of bee, the normal bees are not as harful as other bees. Some bees have high level of poison where they inject when stinging. If allergic, few stings can be fatal. But also many stings can kill anyone because the level of posion can be very hight. Also, age matters. Bee stings are very dangerous if you have an allergy to them and allergies can develop at any time during your life. My father has 20 minutes to get an adrenalin shot into him if he is bitten anywhere above the waist or he will choke to death. Don't asssume you are safe if you have been bitten before and had no problems. Anaphylactic shock can develop after a second or subsequent sting. Do a web search on anaphylaxis or bee stings.

If you are allergic to bee venom, it can kill you. It will cause the affected part to swell. Some people use the stings for arthritis and it seems to help. Bee stings are best avoided.
bee stings have no good effects that i can see, i know some nuts use it for arthritus pain but i think ill keep hobbling and not have the bee sting pain to worry about too.
It all depends on whether you're allergic or not and even then if you've never been stung by a bee, you'll never be allergic the first time you're stung. If you're not allergic, it just swells, turns red, can sting a little while then itch. In a few days it goes away back to normal. If one is allergic then they have a hard time breathing, swell up and if they do not get medical attention immediately, they die.
