An experiment on the aerodynamics of a bumble bee?

i need to know is ther any experiment i can do to find out the aerodynamics of a bumble beeAn experiment on the aerodynamics of a bumble bee?
That is a tough problem given that it has only recently yielded to experimental study by researchers at top tier institutions using state of the art equipment.

The problem is that if you scale something up to sizes you could easily work with, say make a model of a bee wing the size of a sheet of paper, and try to measure forces and lift it generates, the Reynold's scale will be all wrong and as the last reference above discusses, it is the size of the turbulence in relation to the wing that is important. Your eddies won't look like the real eddies on a smaller wing.

Googling ';experiments bumblebee aerodynamics'; returns nearly 16,000 hits, maybe there is something in that you could try.
