One more thing you can do is ask a friend to help you. For example, give her a list of words or let him/her choose words from the dictionary and let her/him ask you to spell them. This can be fun.

Use a spincer..
Best way I saw was to take a credit card and tilt it at an angle. Then scrape it over the stinger a few times and it will drag the stinger out.
Just grab it and pull it out, or scrape it off. The sooner the better, as it keeps pumping venom for some minutes. Some say you shouldn't grab it because you would squeeze more venom out; but the stinger itself pumps the venom anyway, speed is the most important thing.


I did this for the first time recently on a 6-year-old girl; it was easy.

If you live in a different culture names do not translate well. I would go with something that will be more acceptable to the kids in school. There is a child who's name is Shi-thead (pronounced Shi theed)going to Detroit schools and the kids have of course taken away the - when making fun of him.

Nothing, really. It will be sore for a while, but there is not much you can do except leave it alone.
just make sure her paw has not swollen up or she is having problems breathing ..if she has these systoms then take her to the vet as dogs can have allergic reactions to stings too

First I would check to see if the stinger is still in there, if so, remove it with a credit card by scraping.





Second I would put toothpaste on the site, i am serious. It acts like a drawing save and pulls out the toxins a little. It will also encourage her to lick it which will promote healing.





Third, keep an eye on her in case she has a reaction. Most dogs do not, but it is always a possibility.





I wouldn't worry too much, i am sure she will be fine. Just pet her and reassure her.
I would give your doggie Benadryl. Liquid works the best 1/4 tsp. This will make the doggie tired, and they will forget about the pain. A cold pack on the area too while he is resting and plenty of love.
Give her some Benadryl. It works for animals also
check to see if you can see a stinger in her paw if so pullit out you can alsoa pply triple antiabotic ointment on the wound keep an eye on her to make sure she is not allergic to bee stings and good luck
I'd get the dog to a vet. Dogs, just like people can have bad reactions to insect stings.

The MTA is a weird beast, and it's fare increases may or may not be justified. Be aware though, that for many people the cost of using Bee-Line buses has decreased substantially since Bee-Line adopted Metrocard (in April 2007). Riders using both NYC buses or subways AND Bee-Line buses no longer have to pay a second fare when transferring from one system to the other. Also, the fare on the BxM4C was reduced from $7 to $5, for a service that provides a direct ride from as far as White Plains to Wall Street. This is substantially cheaper than a Metro North train ride, and a comparable trip would require two subway connections as well, so a fare of $6.25 is still a relative bargain.





Westchester is not ';taking advantage'; of the MTA's increase. The fact that both systems use the same fare media requires that they raise fares correspondingly.





A Bee-Line fare covers less than 40% of the net cost of a bus ride, and this is typical of public transit throughout the US. With public subsidies for operating costs reduced, the only way to avoid service reductions is to increase fares. While this does affect low-income riders disproportionately, there really is no other solution. The people that will be hit hardest are those that don't ride often enough to purchase a time-based (unlimited ride) Metrocard. A petition is unlikely to sway the people that make these decisions. Their hands are tied by the funding stream from the FTA down through the state, NYC and other counties involved.

All you need to do is save the music file to your computer. If a plugin like Quicktime plays the music when you click on the link instead of giving you an option to download the song, disable the plugin. Once you have the song downloaded, you just need to import it into Movie Maker by clicking the Import Media button at the top of the screen. That should do it!

Regular honeybees do not generally bore into wood or burrow into the ground but yellow jackets do. You can see the difference easily. Yellow jackets are not at all fuzzy and have clearly delineated yellow and dark-brown stripes on their tails. In the ground I have poured motor oil into the hole and this seemed to work.


Regular honeybees do use holes that are already in trees. They make their honeycombs inside.Without knowing if you are talking of a tree or in a home I don't know how to answer. Depending on the damage to a tree, you may need it cut down. Smoke will put bees in a sleep state but this is only temporary. If they are in your house in significant amounts I would suggest an exterminator as bee stings can actually kill you if you get too many, allergic or not.
I have tried painting the whole. I have tried wood putty. I have tried using wasp and bee spray to keep them out. But to be honest nothing works for me. The best things is wood putty, because it works for a while. It is something about the smell of that stuff and the hole being filled up. They do come back to the hole, but they don't stay because of the smell.
You can't get rid of them you have to call some one to do if for you.
Yeah buy some bee spray.

';I am not a physician and am unable to diagnose';. Considering the limited information I will do my best. The general home remedies for bee stings are cold packs to the affected site and if not allergic, over the counter benadryl either in topical form or taken orally via tablets or liquid. Follow package instructions. Generally the effects from a sting are worst in the first 12-24 hours. However, after that the symptoms should appear to be improving. From the information you provided, it doesn't appear that this is happening. It is probably time to make an appointment with your local care provider (physician or urgent care). Anytime you sustain a break in your skin and it compromises the integrity you are at risk for infection. On another note, some patients just don't heal well from insect bites and bee stings. Infection symptoms can include redness, swelling, pus or drainage, red streaking, continued pain, fever, etc. You don't have to experience all of the symptoms to have an infection. You mentioned redness and swelling, and now having lasted more than 24 hrs. You can still start good home care but I would recommend an evaluation. Hope this helps. Hi, there. Sorry to hear about the pain and swelling. It sounds as if you have a mild allergy. The quickest, easiest way to eliminate pain and swelling from a bee sting is to make a paste of baking soda and water. Spread the paste over the sting and all red areas, and let it sit for 10-20 minutes. The baking soda will pull the venom out of the skin and will bring immediate relief. Baking soda will also help extract the stinger from the sting if it's still there. If the stinger is still there, do NOT try to pull it out, as that will only squeeze more venom into the skin. Your body will natural expel the stinger in its own time. Since your sting is a few days old, you may find you need to apply the baking soda paste several times today to get complete relief. I can't promise the redness and swelling will completely disappear, but they will go away enough that you'll find relief. I'd also recommend taking 1000 mg of Vitamin C for the next few days, as it is essential for healing and will help your body fight the sting. I hope you find relief soon! Good luck!
You're probably allergic. Take some Benadryl and go to the Dr. You should start carrying an Epi Pen all the time. If you get stung again, you could have a much much worse reaction. Sorry!

Wasps, however (in particular the bald faced hornet Dolichovespula maculata and the aerial yellowjacket Dolichovespula aerenaria) build the classic covered round aerial paper nests you find hanging from tree branches or snugged up under a house rafter. The wasps use thin strips of wood they peel from trees/posts/etc. that they soften with their saliva. They add this to the nest strip by strip until they've made those amazing paper structures. I STRONGLY suggest you contact your local Animal Control Department in your city.





They probably can remove if safely for you, or get

wait till middle of night, get a bottle of diasinnal, and pour it in the hole to the nest. also you can pour boric acid into it. get the boric at the dollor store. i use both, the diasinnal is harmful to you as well, make sure you are wearing rubber gloves when you pour it in to hole. get diasinnal at a good plant store. good luck,and becarefull.

If they're in the ground they are likely yellow jackets and they are very aggressive. They will pour out of there faster than you can do a thing. Call someone to do it for you.
Put a black plastic bag on top of it and weight it down, let the sun cook them. Do this as quick as possible and go inside to protect yourself. If you try this be sure to wear protective clothing when you do and please note that they may come after you, I had them chase me down the block when I disturbed their nest by hammering on a remodel job. They may relocate somewhere else, but try and do this at sun set when they generally return to the hive.

If it is in the ground, it may not be bees, but rather hornets. My daughter was very badly stung --- 101 stings that we counted, when she ran over the nest with a lawn mower. She is not allergic but that amount of stings caused her tremendous pain and discomfort for days. Call a professional.

Now that you have all of the things not to to, especially the gasoline trick, which I strongly advise against, here is what you can do. One, these are probably, as someone above mentioned, yellow jackets, not bees. Two, yellow jackets are wasps and they can sting you repeatedly, so you need to be careful.





Go to your home center or hardware store and get some wasp killer, in an aerosol can. At night, and only at night when it is completely dark, spray the can into the hole, soaking it. Watch for activity the next day and you might have to repeat this procedure if there are still some wasps present, but this will usually do the trick.
Try spraying with bug spray or else get a shovel, dig it up and relocate to a different place thats not in your yard.
Jump on it then run around the block in a big circle, back to the nest then wreck it. Then run for dear life..........or pour cement on it.

By 10 he will have almost certainly picked up the 'basics' as I had at that age. I personally found it really awkward having that talk, and would have felt far better if it had been done as informally as possible. A casual question or something. That said, if you believe he has little or no idea, sit him down, give him the basics, and show one of those books they have with basic outlines of males/females (ie, not full on porn) and use that as a visual aid, I suppose. But find out what he does know before you do that. Ask if he's heard the word 'sex' and if he knows what it means etc.How would you talk to your 10 yr. old son about the Birds %26amp; the Bee's??
I ran into this problem because my daughter found out about Jamie Lynn Spear's pregnancy. I discussed it in general--but to my surprise, whether it is good or not, she already had the basics down.

just found out two weeks ago i'm allgergic two honey bees after being stung by one of them then yesterday i was stung by a wasp and this morning i woke up with a swole jaw and neck compared to a honey bee sting thats preety strange is that a alergic reaction are a normal reactionWhat are the effects of a wasp sting if you ar alergic to bee stings are they different?
1 %26gt; if a doctor has not given you medicine to have around, always have benadryl with you. Take 50mg when stung ( 2 - 25mg tablets ).








When you are allergic to bee stings........


It is normal for hands or limbs to swell. Face and neck can swell also. The problem arises when your throat starts closing. If it is severe it can cause distress in breathing and death.





So, if you ever experience your throat closing up, go to the emeregency room ( after you have taken some benadryl first ).What are the effects of a wasp sting if you ar alergic to bee stings are they different?
With any sting it is normal to have a little swelling (I do mean little) and pain. If you are allergic to honey bees you are allergic to wasp. Have your doctor prescribe you an Epi pen for the ';just in case I get stung'; to have. Also, as one said Benadryal. The liquid works faster. Seek medical attention if your throat starts swelling.
u shouldn't swell up that much really so i'd go see a doctor as u probablly r allergic by the sound of it!
