How long will humanity survive if the Bee continues to disappear?

I've been reading stories about the disappearance of whole bee colonies in 24 states and Europe. Seems there's a massive extinction going on very rapidly and no one knows what's causing it.

I wonder how long civilization would survive if the Bee really did go extinct all of a sudden. Bee's are responsibIe for almost all the worlds food supplies. I know other insects also pollinate, but Bees do more than all the other insects combined.

Please don't give the Einstein quote, it's not a real quote.How long will humanity survive if the Bee continues to disappear?
Bees pollinate plants so we are going to be in huge trouble if bees disappear.How long will humanity survive if the Bee continues to disappear?
It will put a major hole in fruit and veg production.

I am wondering if geneticly modified plants are responsible - trying to ward off pests.
...That depends ENTIRELY- on what happens NEXT. If WE are somehow responsible for the bee's sudden collapse- then it could be the next ';domino'; to fall- on the food chain that leads to US. And the ';ticking'; noise those dominos make as they fall- represent the remaining time LEFT that we have to find out what's wrong- before it's too late... :(
My husband that was stung many times last year and almost died said he doesn't give a **** about them. But I think the bees will rebound.
It's odd thing, but since bees can multiply fairly quickly I think they'll be able to either gain resistence to infectious agent or eventually recover its populations. I'm saying that only because they mentioned similar occurence in 1890s. But is still isn't considered 'extinction.' Like the article says it is called Colony Collapse Disorder. They didn't find millions of dead bees, but they just couldn't find colonies. Like they just picked things up and moved away some where. Or scattered without colonies. It is mystery, but not disturbing as true extinction or massive bee deaths.
well, 1/3 of the world population will prob die in 2-3 years.

by that time, some other way to produce food will be implimented...however

it will only be available to the rich, well connected or important. Also, minimal food will be given to strong workers ';slaves';

so about another 1/3 that don't make the cut will die.

of the ones that are left..half of them will die in food wars.

so if 1/6th of humanity being left with a few all powerful brute dictators ruling over slave food workers is survival, than I guess yes.

NeoCons wanted to drastically reduce world population...guess they found a way.
I imagine that the people allergic to bee stings will do just fine.
