No, the AWB has very few supporters these days. I would guess that people don't see any gain to belonging to such a far right wing party because they are not taken seriously. Far left wing parties like the SACP also don't get alot of support in SA.Has crime, greater white poverty, and BEE made the AWB more popular? Will it?
No, the AWB has virtually collapsed. Afrikaans people in South Africa have become largely apathetic, which is very unfortunate. They take the view that if they can not vote for their party the NP, they will vote for no one.Has crime, greater white poverty, and BEE made the AWB more popular? Will it?

I havn't seen or heard anything in the news about them for years. AFAIK when ET came out of prison he went on a ';tour'; of public meetings/rallies but it was a total flop.
no....the AWB has been largely discredited. Any rise in far right white sentiment would've manifested itself in electoral gains for the Freedom Front but they had a poor showing at the last election, and their leader has been co-opted by the ANC led government
