Any update on the bee situation please?

I see most stories about the decline in bees came out spring last year, has anyone got any recent information concerning this matter? has it got worse, stayed the same? is it really a big deal? can we just make food a different way?

I was reading an article about a month ago saying that the bee colonies were actually coming back , something like 5,000,000 colonies before the start of the die off and down to 2,250,000 and now back up to 3,000,000 . than a few weeks ago i was reading an article saying the the bee situation is still declining .





I have read many theories on what was happening to the bee's from cell phones being the cause to global warming . but i think the concesus is that there is some sort of virus killing htem off, i think this is all convered under the term colony collapse disorder . not sure what the real status of the bee's are.





As for others ways to do the work of bee's .........a human would have to actually go out and pollinate each plant individually , could you imgine the expense to do that properly ? the expense we would see at the grocery .Any update on the bee situation please?
