Is Joe Pa really coaching Penn State or is he just listening to the Bee Gees on that headset in the pressbox?

Probably Frank Sinatra. During games Joe Pa is beyond senial. They just prop him up like a scare crow up there. He does none of the coaching. Is Joe Pa really coaching Penn State or is he just listening to the Bee Gees on that headset in the pressbox?
I was guessing Laurence Welk myself...





I think he helps coach the team during the week. I think that he doesn't do much on gameday anymore though - especially when he's up in the press box instead of on the sidelines. If you didn't see the Penn State - Ohio State game, Joe Pa didn't even bother leaving the press box at halftime to address the team in the locker room so I doubt he was doing much coaching during the actual game either.





Considering that game against Ohio State was their biggest game of the year I think it's safe to say that the assistant coaches are running the show in Happy Valley these days.Is Joe Pa really coaching Penn State or is he just listening to the Bee Gees on that headset in the pressbox?

Seriously, Joe is still coaching. Heck, he got his leg messed up demonstrating an on-side kick. Last year I saw film of him getting into a 3 point stance to show linemen how to do a drill. Yes, he relies on his assistants as any good coach does, but he's no figurehead.





Check out any interview with his team or coaches and they'll tell you that he's still as involved as ever.
Joe Pa hasn't done any coaching in at least 2 decades. He is just a figure who won't go away because he has earned the right to do so. Does anyone in their right mind think he can do X's and O's? Does he even know his players names? I've never seen the guy with a headset on but I don't watch Penn State play every game. He is just trying to outlast Bobby Bowden for the all time record for wins is all he is doing.
Joe coaches his assistant coaches on Sunday and Monday. They watch film on these days and he tells them what he wants the game plan to be and how to go about practice for the rest of the week. He then let's his assistant coaches coach the team Tuesday through Friday. All the play calling on Saturday is run through his authority as well.

Adults. Young adults are the best/target audiance, but anyone can enjoy this great musical.





I would recomend it to anyone, but would say that I would not bring young children to see it. teens and adults, GO GO GO!





It is a great musical full of fun up-tempo songs, and lots of laughs, you will be rolling in the aisles, and you may even get some candy or get to go on stage as a guest speller, hehehe. It's a fimple and fun musical worth seeing. I hear the New York cast is okay, the Bosten cast and tour cast are amazing, and my personal favorite, Chicago cast is fantastic.
